The book is a beautifully designed hardcover with full- color front and back covers as well as eight pages of full-color photographs Using the chicken thigh as the focus of each dish, Sara created over thirty recipes for salads, soups, stews and entrees, all with a Southern accent that’s sure please any palate, at any point of the compass. She even offers two unusual, but exciting, breakfast recipes. Her “Chicken-for-Breakfast Strips” and her “Fiesta Breakfast Casserole.” Two of those recipes were first featured in the August 2005 issue of SOUTHERN LIVING magazine, in the Cast Iron Chef section (page 105). So her “Smokin’ Thighs Cornbread Salad” and, of course, the “Smokin’ Thighs” recipe itself have already gained national attention. Sara is currently the Culinary Development Chef at Lynn’s Paradise Café in Louisville, Kentucky. She has been with the café four years and has helped to widen its already national prominence with a steady diet of innovative, exciting, and delicious fare for the whole family as well as intriguing summer “culinary vacations” along the famous US Rt. 66, the Appalachian Trail, and major league baseball parks. Sara has had recipes featured in both local and national media.
